Same great recipe as Great Grandma Walters’ Original Recipe, only with Whole Wheat flour. It’s got a nuttier taste because of the whole wheat, but it is still, Oh So Good!
Great Grandma Walters original pumpkin bread recipe kit. Makes 2 loaves of Delicious Pumpkin Bread. Includes pumpkin and your choice of Raisins, Walnuts or Pecans along with Great Grandma Walters’ flour and spice mix.
Made with WHOLE Wheat Flour.
Here is what you need. 3 eggs, a cup of your favorite cooking oil and a cup of water and our Pumpkin Bread Kit.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a Large bowl, add your eggs, oil and water and mix or whisk well. Open the Can of Pumpkin (included) and add it to your egg mixture and whisk or mix again. Add our Flour and spice mix and whisk or mix. Add raisins, walnuts or Pecans if desired and whisk, mix or fold into the batter. Pour half of the batter into an 8 1/2″x 4 1/2″ or 9 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ loaf pan and the remaining batter into another loaf pan of the same size. Bake at 325 degrees for an hour. Use a toothpick or butter knife and insert into your loaf and pull it back out. If it comes out clean, then take your loaves out of the oven and let cool. If it comes out with batter on it, leave it in the oven and check in another 5 minutes. Oven temperatures vary (and you probably already know that).
Flour Mixture includes: Whole Wheat Flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, ground cinnamon.
